Fabrice Canel from Microsoft Bing said on Twitter “desirable over-utilize a 302 divert if your goal URL may change inside 2 days, else 301 is suggested.” So if your sidetracks will be set up for under two days, go with a 302 – something else, Bing prescribes a 301 divert.
301 sidetracks are by definition changeless sidetracks and 302 sidetracks are brief sidetracks.
